1. General information and platform

Rentovini is an Estonian peer-to-peer rental platform that allows users to rent and list everyday items.

Rentovini OÜ acts as an intermediary and is not a direct party to rental transactions.
The platform connects owners with renters.

Rentovini is responsible for platform operation, payment processing, and user protection, but is not responsible for the condition, safety, or suitability of rented items.

2. User age and registration

Age requirement: The Rentovini platform is intended for users aged 18 and over only.

Rentovini reserves the right to suspend or delete an account if it becomes apparent that the user has provided false information.

3. Renter obligations

A renter is a user who rents another user's item through the platform.

4. Owner obligations

An owner is a user who lists their item for rent through the platform.

5. Payments and service fee

Security deposit (optional): The owner may require a security deposit if the item is not returned by the agreed date or is returned damaged. The deposit is authorised (held) on the renter's card (Stripe authorization hold) and released after both parties confirm rental completion (see §6). In the event of damage, the deposit is used to cover replacement or repair costs.

Before/after photos are used to assess damage.

The item's condition must be established before confirming the return on the Rentovini platform.
If the item does not meet requirements, a damage report must be submitted.

7. Rental completion and confirmation

When a rental ends, a 48-hour confirmation window opens, during which both parties must:

  1. Upload photos of the item's condition at the time of return
  2. Confirm the item's condition (good / wear / damaged)

Both parties confirm, no damage → the security deposit is released automatically within 24 hours.

One party reports damage → a 5-day dispute window opens, during which parties can submit messages and evidence. If no agreement is reached within 5 days, the dispute is resolved automatically as follows:

48 hours pass with no response from either party → the deposit is automatically released to the renter.

8. Dispute resolution

Governing law: These Terms of Service are governed by Estonian law.

9. Prohibited use

The following are prohibited on the platform:

Upon discovery of prohibited activity, Rentovini has the right to immediately suspend or delete the account and refuse refunds.

Rentovini reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service. Users will be notified of material changes by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
